Before anyone else says it - I carry enough hot air to float everyone!

Adriana - no sneaky pics please until my friends very posh 45 footer yacht comes into Symi - I'd like to be snapped reclining on the bows, being fed grapes by Mazie! :D

Alan's version does seem a little far fetched....perhaps he persuaded our lovely Adriana to support his story by bribing her with a bag of parsnips...she never mentions that she and hubby grow these on their plot :P

Hmmm, sounds a bit thin to me Mazie - I can just imagine Mrs Moderator being content to holiday solo while our Allan spends the entire time in the back office...

Ahh....i think the clue here is "largish" which is not the same as large :twisted: What exactly is largish Al :?: ;) ;)

[quote="Adriana"]

We can vouch for the fact that our venerable moderator nobly spent a largish portion of his holiday on Symi performing micro-surgery on a computer in the back office, which is why the webcam is back on the air. :D

Sorry, parsnips are a Brit thing. As a Durbanite I am more interested in my technicolour chilli bush collection :twisted:

You are correct Adriana :) Prior to good old Walt bringing in spuds from America, parsnips were the English staple :) Of course the English could always revert to the good old mangel wurzle if really hungry :idea:

For those about to comment on the Scots, staples were turnips and oats - shades of Dr. Johnson :)

Does this mean that Mazie and I can take "tea" at Pat's Bar incognito? :)

Looks as if the camera has lost power. Perhaps Adriana will give the dodgy plug a bit of a waggle when she has time.

Plug has been waggled :)

Why do they still make those silly superheavy plugs with spindly little pins? :evil: Our Speedtouch box has a similar arrangement and has to be strategically balanced against the leg of the desk to maintain the connection. :evil: :evil:

Thanks Adriana!

The heavy plugs / spindly pins thing is easily fixed - have three big chunky pins on the heavy plug and a socket to match.

Means moving to the UK though! :P

Try a dab of Blue Tack on the plug - well away from the pins of course

Hmm or I could move back to South Africa where they still use fat three pinned plugs... :P

But it wouldn't help because thanks to cable theft power cuts are rife so the webcam still wouldn't work... :evil:
