Yes me too Geoff,i chat to Mazie every day and it seems very quiet around here without her,i've been in the chatroom a few times but its always empty.Ah well never mind i'll soon have my little g'daughter in my arms and having a big cuddle with her. She'll be laughing by the time i get there.Hey Geoff just out of curiosity i was looking at the price of travel from Perth to Rhodes its about 1600.It would be cheaper to come over here and get a flight :o :o :o :o :o

But Joanie old girl you have to remember its a bloody side further from Perth to Rhodes. :(
1600 quid, thats $4000. I don't think I've ever paid any more than just over $2000. Out of interest I fly from here to S/pore, thats 5 hours and the plane normally leaves around 3pm, getting to Singers about 8pm (we are on the same time).
The plane to Athens leaves around 11pm and gets to Athens some 10 hours later at about 6am ish local time. Sometimes I have a break and stay in Athens to catch up with friends, if not I get the 9am shuttle to Rhodes. Its better now they leave from the same airport, before you had to get a taxi to the domestic airport. :D That gets me to Mandraki about 10.30am and i leave my bag at the Spartilis Hotel and mooch about until the afternoon Dolphin, getting to Symi about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. :!: :!:
And I've heard Brits moan for days about their trip out...once they get that off their chests its the anticipated horror flight back. Fair dinkum.... :( :o

So imagine us poor mortals on the east side of Australia, add another 500 dollars and 3-4 hours travel.

Not since 2001, Joanie but the air fares have come down, if anything.
I still keep an eagle eye on the international fares.

You would find it far too warm here. Steady 80 and blue skies. I am at Pat#s, trying to work out the keyboard. Perhaps I shall have a drink now. Waving at the webcam every 30 seconds Have fun. See you in another 2 and a half weeks. It is just starting to get a bit busy in here. You might know some of the people.

Grrr! It's rained non-stop here today, Richard. You're making me very envious indeed.

Have a great time!
