I'm also girding my loins for a little face to face skirmish with my bank. I ordered some Euros over the internet on Friday. According to the bank, they would be delivered to the designated branch by 1pm on the next working day. No sign of them yesterday but I did notice that the bank had thoughtfully taken the money out of my account on the day that I ordered it. That means they've had the money for 5 days before they've even given me the goods!!! I think Mr Shouty may well make an appearance!

Cheeky blighters....why is it that banks just think they can do as they please and folks wont mind . You go tell 'em Kojak .

I usually get mine from the post office, not sure if they give the best exchange rates, but I get to pick them up there and then which suits me because I don't have time to keep running back and forth.

The euros arrived today but I indicated my displeasure at loaning the bank �500!. I did point out that if I owed them �500 they'd be pretty smart to slap hefty charges on immediately. It wasn't the tellers fault, poor soul but I must admit to a certain amount of pleasure at watching him squirm in front of all the other customers...
