Thanks very much, everyone. As I said to Allan, a full set of print 'Visitors' in the house, a flu-ridden husband and a wet Christmas Day did help. Actually the flu-ridden one got the blood donor question which had me completely perplexed.

We'll report back on what I'm sure will be an enjoyable meal, but you'll have to wait till September for that.
