The webcam looks as if it's been on the ouzo (no personal comments please). :geek: How are passengers on the ferry supposed to land at that angle?

Makes it much easier to roll/fall down the gangplank.

At least the sea looks a lot calmer than did yesterday. Perhaps all the lumpy bits have slid down to pile up outside Pacho's?

You might bring the lady hamster to Symi, Mazie ;)

That could encourage our little furry friend to work harder

Not sure he could stand the pace Mille :( , she's a climber  and an avid wheel fan.....I've had hamsters before but none as active as this one :( ....I just hope she hasn't escaped by the time I get back....I think the boys are going to have to secure the lid of the cage down with weights :? !

Is it possible to turn it a little to the right, would be lovely to see the boats coming in? :)

Or is it placed like that for MM's arrival? Be good to see her wiggle her way down the road!! :)

Chocked in next to the pillar until the painters have finished - it's safer that way!

And what is that blue hydrofoil? Have ANES tried to double their passenger service now that the Symi is limited to one passenger?

I had a wonderful time Joanie darling...quite a few 'firsts' for me visiting some new places this time.

Ola and I took a walk over the back way to Nimborio. Stopped at St Georges on the way over. It's in such a beautiful location with absolutely stunning views.....quite special. Then on down to Nimborio to visit the church on the other side of the bay before moving on to discover the Roman mosiac....amazing to think I was standing there looking at something which I think may be about 2000 years old. We also managed to find the caves in which we saw the hugest Judas plant you could imagine. Ola is about 6 feet tall and this plant was not that far short of the same height. The flower was stunning and must have been about 2 feet high :o .

I've always liked Nimborio but now would say it's my favourite part of the island.

Another day Ola persuaded me to climb the Kataraktis. Climbed right to the top to enjoy the view from the Kastro...again rather wonderful.

As well as the walk down the Pedi valley with a friend made last year, after stopping for a refreshing beer, we walked on round to St Nicholas beach for lunch and a little time laying in the sun.

Some of my favourite hours were sitting in Pachos doing a spot of people watching with Ola...we had such fun trying to understand what was going on during some of the more heated exchanges between the locals :?: .

It was nice to meet up with friends I'd made last year and enjoy an evening meal with them. One evening passing Jean and Tonic's I remembered the lovely Frances mentioning she would be in there for Jean's birthday party so "why don't I pop in for a drink"......a little too much Metaxa and some rather energetic dancing 8-) made for a late rise the next morning...but it was fun :) . I think the 3 glasses of wine :geek: I'd consumed when I went to see the lovely English garden that Frances has established at her home may have had some bearing on things ;) .

Anyway the upshot of all that walking is that I can now crack walnuts between my thighs ;) !

Coming back to UK and being greeted by rain and cold soon brought me back down to earth again :( !!
