The webcam in in a precarious position propped amongst plant pots on the balcony but as Mille says I have a mounting plate ready to take out there at the end of next week so things should improve from then on.

Adriana does occasionally try to adjust the pointing to get a nicer view and that's what she did yesterday. Unfortunately it didn't last long and slipped, first back to its old position and then, during the night, to this seagull-spotting view. I'm sure she'll stand it up again when she's next in the office.

Meanwhile.... I've been experimenting with an automated way of producing timelapse movies from the webcam pictures and managed to capture the changes of view yesterday. The movie finishes before the camera fell on its back but see if you can spot the vegetation that drops into view just before it gets dark.

Great video Allan, though I am relieved that life on Symi doesn't move along that fast ;)

Many thanks to Adriana for adjusting the camera again so we can see that wonderful harbour view :)

It was very windy over the weekend - which you can see if you look at Allan's clever time lapse as the palm fronds are waving about 8-)

Fitted the new mounting plate this morning so the camera can be adjusted to show more of the foreground (for the Webcam Wavers) and less of the sky.

Hopefully it will be strong enough to survive the winter storms too.

Well done Allan and thank you. Nice to be able to see the table and chairs on the corner of Pachos again. We'll be on Symi next Wednesday and will sit there (at least once!) so we can have an ouzo or two and do 'the Symi wave' at the same time. :D

Thank you Allan :) lovely view this morning and the weather looks glorious.

Enjoy your holidays all you Symi bound folks 8-)

I'm heading off to Lyme Regis tomorrow with my little dog Lottie, not as nice weather wise but none the less beautiful :)
