my wife an i were on symi in june, we video'd 3 hours worth of tape an decide to not watch it as soon as we came home, to tickle us, so we watched it last night, it was amazing we relived our time there, cant put it into words, however, when we were on the beach a hydofoil came in, an last night we noticed it on the tape again it had a red cross on it what is it used for can anyone tell me.

Ah, memories of Symi are so precious.

Every now and again, I take out the pictures from our 1st trip 8 years ago, every picture holds a story and makes me smile.

Gaby and Rabs son Georgie will probably curse me in years to come as I have some really cute ones of him on a tricycle.

It takes specialist medical facilities to the islands in the Dodecanese and comes into Symi once a week. While we have a good clinic here on Symi, many of the smaller islands have virtually no facilities at all and it is not always easy to get across to Rhodes for check ups etc.

I am sure that others will be able to give you more information, but there is a hydrofoil that acts as a medical centre with x-ray equipment etc which operates mainly for the smaller islands in the Dodecanese.

I saw that hydrofoil on the day we left, on Rhodos. I believe it's a floating pedeatric clinic. (?)
