The departure of the Symi ferry from Symi to Rhodes this afternoon has been delayed due to heavy swell in Rhodes commercial port.

It will now be leaving at 17.30 instead of 16.15.

This means that it will inevitably be late for the return trip from Rhodes tonight.

18.00 and the Symi is still outside the Symi Visitor office.

The gale warning is remaining in force until 22.00.

The day trippers have been allowed on board and the generators are running to keep everyone in lights, coffee and cold beer...

19.15 and we are distributing free copies of the Symi Visitor to bored day trippers who are still stranded on the Symi.

More affluent souls are making plans for dinner in Yialos but many have come on all-inclusive excursions from Rhodes package holiday hotels and are not exactly equipped to make the best of being stranded on Symi for the evening.

I would like one too i'm bored and it's raining, AGAIN!
