First English Broadcast on Symi Radio Tonight!

Postby Adriana » 08 Dec 2006, 09:04

Local resident, Terri Baker, gives her first broadcast on Symi's municipal radio station this evening. The program will run from 18.00 to 20.00 every Friday evening and will be a mix of news and information, in English, of interest to foreign residents on the island, and Terri's own selection of music, which she describes as 'anything from Bach to the Beatles, from Abba to Ziggy Pop'. :D

Tune in to 107.9 FM 8-)

This may be a tall order but do the IT gurus at the SV have the ability to provide the broadcast or just some edited highlights as a podcast that we could download ?

Hi D and E,

I'll see what I can find out. It's not something I know much about. :?:

Happy New Year! :D

10pm is clearly a more convenient finishing time for Terri than 8pm, as she won't have to wait after her broadcast for Jean's to open! :geek:

Terri's just popped into the office to say that her 'slot' is 8-10 pm from henceforth. Apparently the radio station in Athens says that it is because it is getting on for summer time... :D

She's setting up an email address for dedications, so watch this space! :D

As Symi radio is on in most of the shops and businesses on the island as well as the bus etc etc this could be a great way to let your Symiot friends know you are thinking of them. :P

More reliable than snail mail.
