Carnival Time on Symi

The sun's out, the sky is blue and the parade starts in half an hour. :D :D :D :D :D

In the meantime I have put a few pictures from Friday night's children's party at Syllogos up on my diary page.

They are still bopping away in the town square - the music is making the office windows hum! 8-) :o

I have emailed lots of photos through to Mike Gadd but as he probably has other things to do on a Sunday afternoon ( :P  )I have also put a few up on my diary page. :)

Does poor Adriana have to work on a Sunday with no telephone line?
I hope the party went well. I've been thinking about Carnival. I must start planning my pancakes for Tuesday.

Unfortunately, since the Girlies were out enjoying themselves, I forgot about them. Am I allowed to cook some tonight, on Ash Wednesday? Is Clean Monday also Shrove Monday, as another post mentioned? Do you have pancakes after the flying of the kites?

Technically speaking, eggs are off limits so no pancakes... :(

The usual Clean Monday picnic is seafood, salads, pickles and lagana which is a kind of flat oval sesame seed bread. As I am horribly allergic to seafood :( I stick to the salads, pickles and lagana :)
