Newcastle Wednesday Flights

Info for anyone who usually flies from Newcastle to Rhodes on a Wednesday.

Thomson have changed their flight time this year. In the past it's been around 9am. This year it's been moved to 2pm which is too late to catch a boat to Symi same day.

Now the only flight that does not entail an overnight in Rhodes is the 7am Excel airways.

Oh dear, Glen, looks like a very early start for you then.. :( :( :( Olympic did the same thing, bringing forward the 10am flight so that it's just too early to get the train from my local station.

Not too much of a problem for me.
I prefer the Excel anyway cos it gets in early enough (usually) to catch the 3pm boat. however it does cut down the options a bit as in the past I've always gone whiever of the two was the cheapest

Thanks for the info Glen. We'd always done Thomson's unti last Sept. when we used XL, which I also prefer, especially when you make the 15:00 boat just in the nick of time and the adrenaline's flowing!

I must confess to a moments panic untill I realised the XL flight hadn't changed. Helen and I will be on that one on the 6th of June. See you in the air.

Even if Denmark is a small country I think our opportunities are better. We can leave on several morning flights wednesday, saturday and sunday in the season to Athens or Rhodes and be in Rhodes in the afternoon early enough to catch the boat. Why don't you move to Denmark?
