getting a late flight in, 1:30 in the morning.
so as i'm travelling alone which makes a taxi an expensive option, i was thinking of getting a room in paradisi near the airport then bussing it down for the ferry the next morning.

Anyone here done this before and can reccomend a hotel.
or anyone flying in very late on the 18th( morning of the 19th) want to share a taxi ?

Sorry cant help as I am flying in to Rhodes on 18th Sept and will arrive at midday and plan to get a taxi to the harbour. You say it is expensive, how expensive? Anyone arriving same time as me, want to share a taxi.

Glen, why not just get a taxi 25 euros and stay at the Hermes, after all you are on holiday, so why skimp, you can walk to the ferry terminal after a very good breakfast.

Hi Jean, A taxi is about EU25 The bus is about EU2.50. if i was landing at midday i'd certainly be getting the bus.

Bluenose, because why pay EU25 plus a hotel in Rhodos when i can pay for a hotel in Paradisi and get a bus next morning for a tenth the price.

I'd rather save my money for symi.

I suppose it depends on how much travelling you have already done?? I booked the Sylvia, Rhodes Town - 10 minute walk from Kollona - cheap, good breakfast and as we had already been travelling 'forever' worth the taxi and hotel. Each to their own.

What did you do in the end Glen? I'm all for saving money and catching buses instead of taxis if it's a viable alternative

We leave Symi early Monday moaning for our flight home, I read on here somewhere a recommendation for breakfast in a hotel somewhere in Rhodes. Can anyone remember or know where it is?

The Plaza does an all you can eat buffet breakfast which is pretty good value we've had it a couple of times when we have had to get the early boat and they will let you use their left luggage room till it's time to go to the airport which leaves you free to wander around Rhodes
