Ferries again!

Postby maziemoo » 05 Sep 2007, 22:20

Just a little something I read on the Sky News website tonight.....

Airline officials in Nepal have sacrificed two goats in a bid to stop aircraft technical problems.

Headline: Goats killed after delays

The animals were killed in front of a Boeing 747 plane at the international airport in Kathmandu after it developed an electrical fault.

They hoped the gift would please the Hindu sky God Akash Bhairab, and in return he would bless the plane, local media reported.

Nepal airlines, which has two Boeing aircraft, has had to suspend some services in recent weeks due to the problem.

Wonder if ANES ever thought of trying this....personally I'd prefer not to witness such a spectacle :o

Relief. Dear old ANES have posted the ferries for October at last. I hope me email to them yesterday didn't cause panic but the schedule is up this morning. That means I don't have a 23 mile swim and Mille has a choice of boats after all.

Don't rush them. At least they've discovered the Symi and the Proteus. Still looking for the Aegli and Symi II.

As long as those sources come in the form of friendly encounters and good humour 8-) , not in the form of foe trying to ridicule and score points at someone's expense  , it shouldn't be a problem.

To return to the subject...!

ANES has assured us that they will be releasing the November schedule in the next day or so. At the moment the schedule for Dodecanese Seaways only covers the first week or so of November and ANES shows nothing at all so we are being innundated with enquiries from people wanting to come to the Panormitis Festival...
