Hi All - from a new member

Hi
After 5 years of visiting this wonderful site I decided to take the plunge and join! First time we came to Symi was 2002 and I found all the info we needed on this site - and have been a "believer" ever since! Thank you all for your helpful, amusing and informative posts.

Hi Anthony
I've read your posts with interest - you seem very knowledgeable! One of our other favourite islands is Tilos - different to Symi but has its own attractions. The first place we went to in Greece was Crete - Hania, and it brings us back time and time again - always something different to see.

I love Chania. My first visit to Greece as well. We stayed on the Harbour and that started my long affair with Greece. I must return there some day.

Chania Harbour has a lot to answer for - wet our appetite for more Greek harbours. We were there last October, there was an incredible storm and tornadoe as we were walking into Chania from Kalamaki. Spent the evening in a taverna at the harbour, ankle deep in water watching the lightening flash round the harbour - amazing. We were due to fly home to Manchester next day - surprise, surprise Chania airport closed, had to stay an extra night on Crete in a 5* star hotel (courtesy of the holiday company!)

Just so you know Teddy, this lot are joking....well they'd better be :twisted: :twisted: ! Aside from the odd slip up we all try to remain polite to each other :P ....of course just once in a while any of us can grow horns :? ....just take a look at mine...horns that is ;) !
