The April ferry schedules have not been approved yet by the Ministry of the Merchant Marine et al which is why on and it looks like there are no boats after 31 March.  :?

So just because it currently says there is no service doesn't mean there won't be one! :?:

No Cause for Panic

Quote from "The Times" ;) SYMIANS, SYMIOTS and EX-PATS MAROONED ON GREEK ISLAND It is reported from Athens (Greece)(Reuters), that due to the withdrawal of all ferry services to the island of Symi, residents are stranded and almost high and dry :geek: The threat of no services has occurred annually for many years. What was regarded by many as the Greek equivalent of an April Fool joke has become a reality. There is reported to be frantic activity on the island as inhabitants endeavor to recreate the famous historical activity of ship building. The potential threat of starvation, has been reported to the EC in Brussels (where else) and to the UN - still in New York. The islands popular web site, much beloved by a variety of eccentrics, has posed a significant question "SymiVisitors?" Pictures of some of the eccentrics: :(  :P :o :!: :| :geek: :( :(
