I actually thought it was a nice idea to keep the original thread running a bit like the webcam one, sometimes there will always be a topic that is relevent regardless of the amount of time it runs over.

You birds always stick together.. :P
Oops...is that PC...too bad if it isn't...

I never got a welcome, neither did Dave or any of us pioneers...
You never hear from half of them again, maybe the gushing welcome turns them off. :(
Think they've got involved in some sort of sex thingo, you know, wife swapping and all that jazz... 8-) :D

I'll ignore the "you birds bit" since it really doesn't worry me :P !

As for the gushing bit, I prefer to think of it as a warm welcome :P :P .

As a recently welcomed newcomer - I, as a bird - better than old broiler, did feel welcomed rather than "gushed" over (what a thought). Is this just a female thing?

As with Beverley - I'm also a recent newcomer, the warm welcome from you all makes me want to post messages and bridges the gap from being a "ghost" visitor to a fully-fledged "member and friend" - keep up the good work girls (and PC gentlemen!!)
PS "Sex thingo"? What are we missing?!

I didn't understand it myself Val but then sometimes I'm prone to blank moments so reserve the right not to always understand what our men folk are talking about :P :P especially that lovely Kojak person and his reversing, I'm not really sure what he's talking about ;) ;) but perhaps it's something similar to the thing us girlies are told about a mere 2 inches being 6 ;) ;) .

He's good fun to be with, was certainly kind and considerate towards me when we were on Symi together last September/October and yes has a mean socks and sandal dress sense ;) !

You wait he'll be back with a smart one liner in response to that :P !

Kojak do you really wear socks with sandals? My reversing could be (but isn't) terrible but still would be forgiveable, but socks and sandals !!

I thought that the great point about the Symi Spider was that it does not wear socks:
