Symi Bus

Postby D and E » 07 Jun 2009, 09:57

Here we are sitting in our favourite corner bar and Yialos is quite busy - we are told that today is election day for the EU - but we depart from The Symi Bus. Having visited this most wonderful of places since 1997 we were just remarking to each other when on the Symi Bus from Pedi yesterday how Lakis has kept his fare at One Euro despite increasing fuel prices and the replacement bus a couple of years back with the all important air con which was very welcome yesterday - it was a hot one. He is a true hero - what would we do without him.

Nos now beckons with a stop at Odyseus on the way for a top up Mythos.

Yassus,

A very happy D and E (until Wednesday at least when we must return to UK)

Yes D and E it's certainly amazing that lovely Lakis has refused to bend to the economic pressures.......1 euro for the service provided is the best value for money probably most of us could experience anywhere...well done Lakis :)

Symi Bus

Postby Snakey » 07 Jun 2009, 21:30

But so sad to see Symi's Mk.1 bus (ex George K) lying derelict halfway up the new road from Pitini. Memories of when Symi had the one bus and three pickup trucks to play gridlock with...
