How long before the first helpless case asks which hotel they get taken to, whilst awaiting the ferry ???

That's a bit scathing, Bluenose. I really don't think that even the most naive person would expect an hotel on a flight only ticket!

I take you mean Olympic hilidays, Peter? They are very good value if you book early and online. I shouldn't say that because I'll be most annoyed if I can't get a room in future!

Their prices really are amazing and not just for Symi....I've paid almost as much just for the flights in the past. Leaves with more spending money for meals and :geek: !

Hear hear Norman, we must stop mentioning it or there won't be any rooms for us old Olympic regulars - I think it's time we got a loyalty discount :D I don't know about the rest of you but it's very deep and crisp and even around here and very cold. And it's still snowing. Only one more day to struggle into work before the Christmas hols, not back in work until 29th so it's a good break this year.Happy Christmas to everyone who knows me and those who don't too.

PS. for those of you who know Cathy of the broken wrist on Symi fame, she slipped today and broken the other one! And sober again - I think there's a moral there somewhere

Don't want to put a downer on Olympic as we do use their excellent services from time to time but we wonder who loses out in the supply chain that allows us such cheap holidays. We remember years ago when Frank (Taxiarchis) was linked to a package company being told how brutal the negotiations were and how little was paid to the accommodation provider :( However market forces are market forces and with the / Euro not looking like it will improve we need to find the best deals possible and this Forum can be such a powerful tool for this.

A good example being the great news about EasyJet from Liverpool - thanks SymiReps :) - we have now booked the September trip which for two of us with baggage and taxes has come in under 200 :) :) :) less than half what we paid for flights in October 2009 and we do scour the net for prices. Here's hoping that business levels from Liverpool to Rhodes make this a regular route :D

Now to browse the Olympic site to see if we can get a week in May :)

:D :D Nail on the head D and E when you state this forum could be a powerful tool. Bang on as well when you say that somewhere along the food chain someone's got to lose out and it is usually the accomodation provider. We Scots in the north here would love it if there was an accessible flight from one of the Scottish airports - i am sure there is a market for it. :?

The cheapest flights I've found for any trip from Bristol to Rhodes is Viking through Travel Republic....e.g. September 194! May is even cheaper. Half the price of Thomas Cook or Thomsons.
