first time in symi

in july 1 time in symi. we don't know where we stay. last year we staied in chalki in old house...if we rent in Chorio, what is the nearest beach? there is a bus in island?

Hello Maraciolo. The nearest beach from Chorio would be at Pedi. There are 2 tavernas down there, both with sunbeds. Turn left at the pier and walk along to Tolis taverna - free sunbeds and very good food at reasonable prices. If you turn right at the pier and walk along past the Pedi Beach hotel you will come to the other taverna. Both have shade. There is a good bus service which runs from Yialos to Pedi via Chorio every hour. From Yialos it goes on the hour and from Pedi at the half hour. You can catch it in Chorio from the windmills or from the Campos supermarket. Price �1 whatever the journey.
