mythos restaurant[s]

hi everyone.only one month to go now till we return to symi for a hol.Was looking forward to eating symi shrimps at Mythos again but have noticed photos of the harbourside restaurant with a new name up.Are Mythos no more?What about the rooftop restaurant? Last stayed on symi Oct 2008 but popped over on a day trip from rhodes since then.Have there been many changes in the last year?

The harbourside Mythos has closed, or rather has changed hands. The rooftop restaurant will be open as usual later in the season.

Can't believe Mythos isn't there no more. Our first holiday to Symi was last year and loved it so much we booked again 2 days after we got home. 5 weeks tomorrow we flying back out, can not wait and one of the things we keep talking about is 'Can't wait to go to Mythos for the meze', so feeling disappointed. Another restaurant we loved was Muses, so can anyone tell me if this is still open?

Mythos is open,Yvettelee but not at the original place. Stavros has also been a the Roof garden further along the harbour for several years and now that is the only restauranr he is running.

Thank you Kojak for that fab news. Got a big smile on me face again now. So where has Mythos moved to? Can help me with the restaurant Muses whether it's still there or not. it was situated behind the water taxis along the road which leads to Iapetos Villiage, thanks

Yvette, walk a 100 yards or so past the old Mythos. It's on the quay side and is a Roof Garden above the gym, you can't miss it. Yhe same fabulous cooking and a superb view over the harbour while you eat. Get there early or book early and get a table at the edge! I think muses is still there although it's not a place I've eaten in - I keep my "special" meal nights for Stavros' cooking!

Thank you. 5 weeks as now and we'll be on the plane. Can't wait. We've always said we'd never go back to the same place 2 years running but loved it so much it just had to be done. Those 2 restaurants really made our holiday as well

Brilliant. Deffo got to wear something lose then when we go there. It's hard to say that's it no more dishes, because you wonder whats coming next and my husband who is 6ft 4" can eat and eat and I'm like can't eat anymore I give in. Last year we never got the chance to sit at the edge, so told my husband as soon as we get there we've got to book.

Apropos Muses, Naomi Campbell ate there on Thursday evening, when she and her Russian boyfriend passed through Symi on a yacht. They told the waiter they thought Symi was lovely and will try to work in another night here later in the cruise.
