Apparently an excursion boat was seen arriving on Symi today. Anyone know it's timetable? :)

Hi Su, the Discovery boat was the only day boat from Rhodes that we saw come in each day when we were on Symi over the last 14 days - this was due to the certification issue that prevented the other boats making the daily trip. This was having a devastating effect on the businesses on the island. We saw Discovery leave Rhodes last Wednesday as we had breakfast at Mandraki around 9am on our way home. As we recall it was always getting into Symi around 12 so presume it may have stopped off at Panormitis on the way.

Should have also said that we saw many day visitors from Rhodes come over on the early Dodec and go back on the 5pm one.

Su, it was actually the Aegean Glory and Saturday was the first time we had seen it all season. I don't know if it came over Sunday and Monday but it was certainly back today with rather a lot of passengers!

Still running daily - it's been chartered by the people who operated the "Symi" day trip boat (ex ferry. The company name is Sea Dreams.
Supposed to be quite good inside, and lots of deck space for enjoying the view. Leaves Rhodes 9am, goes via Panormitis, returns at 4:15pm. It is strictly day-trip only, no luggage no single tickets.

They have been known to take emergency passengers who missed the Dodekanese. We saw one lady manage to get on board so she could make her flight in Rhodes.
