Events over the next few weeks

Hi. Does anyone know of any events that are on over the next few weeks?

Isnt there usually a festival or something in August? I can find any details of this on the symi visitor site.

There's no official Symi Festival with famous international stars this year due to the financial situation in Greece but there are some performances by local performers and the programme is on the Symi Dream website here:

If you can check out the Symi Dream blog while you are on the island there may be news of other events listed there.

Keep an eye open for posters on poles and bulletin boards in Yialos and Chorio because times, venues and events often change. There are also announcements over the town tannoy if anyone wants to drum up support for an event. Although there is no official festival this year, the Symi Women's Association have managed to come up trumps so far
