Hi Lisa, good to see you're still posting.

It was nice to meet you on Symi, even for such a short time - we had a ferry to catch!

I'm really pleased (though not surprised) to learn you enjoyed your visit and are planning to go back next year. Symi really does grab you, doesn't it? :D

To answer your 2019 question, I don't think you will notice any difference by going two weeks earlier. September is a popular month on Symi so the visitor numbers tend to be the same right up until early October. The weather isn't likely to be any different, it'll be lovely and warm, as will the sea.

Hi Allan,
We're pleased and surprised! Looked at other islands when we got back and realised Symi does have all we want. Just about to hit the button on flights. Thanks for the info re August. It's nice to know what you look like now :D

Hi Lisa

You can never start planning too early! :D

Yes, there is a chance of a ferry on August 28th. The Bluestar Chios is scheduled to leave Rhodes at 18.00 arriving on Symi at 19.05. Then there is a CHANCE there may be the ANES Sebeco in the late afternoon / early evening but I don't think they have released their schedules yet. Keep an eye on Andy's travel blog at http://www.andyward.me.uk/symiblog/ for up to date news.
