No not a football score but our decision not to go to Italy in May / June and instead head to our beloved Symi and return to our usual pattern of May and September.

The Olympic offer today for 7 nights in Anastasia’s from 16th May with an 08:00 departure from Manchester (we just hope this doesn’t change  ) with the FETA code giving a £50 discount is excellent value for money.

Crowne Plaza at Manchester is booked for the Tuesday night and we still need to decide if we drive or take the train and whether we stay over on the way back but all that can wait. Next call is to the cattery to get Zoë booked into her holiday home.

The important thing is for us to now start the countdown of days rather than months.

Can almost taste the Mythos and smell the stiffado.

:D

Italy's loss is certainly our gain!

I can't wait to read the first course of your trip reports.

We will certainly do our best with the Daily Blog in May and although we only have seven days will try and venture “down” at nights unlike last July :o

We have made the final arrangements today and have decided to take the 3.5 hour train journey from Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury to Wilmslow to Manchester Airport. Crowne Plaza (and so the wonderful Sampans for dinner) is booked for outbound and return. Zoë is booked into her holiday home.

So in 19 days time we will be heading to Yannis Rainbow and then Giorgio’s as that is our traditional First Night.

:D
