Catch up

Postby rockbottom » 23 Oct 2017, 18:01

We've been home four weeks now and haven't got around to saying high to D and E who were our neighbours in the Anastasia apts in September. It was great reading your blog and hearing about your different meals - we feel very unadventurous but will do better next time! Have you given another cat a home yet, if so they will be much cherished I'm sure! Having vowed not to have another one ourselves we now have Fizz who is quite old and we're giving her a home for as long as she needs! It was lovely to meet you both and hopefully we'll meet up on symi again in the future! Rockbottom

Hi Rockbottom (V&N),

Thanks for reading the Blog and for the kind words.
It was fun having you as almost immediate neighbours and we always enjoyed our catch ups on what we had each been up to during our time on wonderful Symi.
Be careful for what you wish for - we all know where “adventurous” can end up in the wee small hours if you recall ;)
We are delighted to hear about Fizz - a great name that E has an affinity with :D We are sure that she will have a wonderful life and we hope she has a few years of that.
As for us the lure of the Symi kittens did indeed result in us homing a pussycat from the local Cats’s Protection and we have christened her Zoë after our dear friend with the best stifados on Symi and the fact that our beloved Greyam passed away when we were there.
And here she is -
(hoping that the pic is sized appropriately as the App D has used for years is no longer compatible with the latest system upgrade on his iPad and this is the first time he has used the new App)

We are still uncertain as to our plans for Symi in 2018 apart from having a provisional reservation for accommodation for late September so we will certainly be on Symi but we may be able to extend to three weeks and are thinking about a week in Pedi. Also thinking about coming via Athens and sailing down on the Blue Star. Lots of fun planning and when there is certainty we will broadcast on this site.

In the meantime have a good winter and enjoy Fizz.

D&E

Thanks Gemma1.
She just loves being with people and is very playful.
D even installed an iCam so we can watch her from our mobile phones when out and was showing her to folk in the pub - he’s a big old softie.
She has been told about Symi and how she will be going to her holiday home.
Now she is trying to help with typing this as she walks over the laptop keyboard :D

Hi D and E, lovely to hear back from you and glad youre enjoying Zoe the cat (as are we with Fiz whose proved to be great company). I don't think we will get to Symi in 2018 but you never know! So sad to hear about the floods, but thankfully no loss of life. By for now V&N
