Hello and welcome to the forum.

I'm afraid it's much too early to tell.

The ferry timetables are usually published around late February to early March for the summer season so don't expect any firm details before then. Once they are finally released they are still likely to change, particularly early and late season so keep checking!

The best place to find information is the ferry operators' own websites: http://www.12ne.gr/en/ for the main (mostly) every day crossings and http://www.bluestarferries.com/ for the (currently) twice weekly "big boats" from Athens to Rhodes and back, passing through Symi on the way.

Andy Ward is our travel expert and he keeps up to date with timetables, producing his own version to cover crossings to and from Symi which we publish here on the Symi Chat forum as soon as they are available. Keep an eye on the 'Noticeboard' section for the latest information.

His regular travel blog at http://symivisitor-accommodation.com/blog/ always has the latest news on everything to do with travel to and from Symi.

Thanks for the plug, Allan!
Jakviti, all anyone can tell you at the moment is what happened on the equivalent days in 2016.
From Rhodes to Symi on Saturdays in July 2016 there was a fast service at 08:30 taking 50 minutes, then a slow one via Panormitis Monastery at 09:30 taking 3h30m (because it really ran for day excursion passengers and waited while they went round the monastery, though anyone could use it), finally a 19:00 sailing taking 90 minutes.
All these were operated by Dodekanisos Seaways.
From Symi to Rhodes on a Friday there was a sailing at 07:45 taking around 75 minutes by Blue Star, one at 16:30 taking 90 minutes, and one at 17:35 taking 55 minutes, these two by Dodekanisos Seaways.
There was also a third operator in 2016, Sea Dreams of Rhodes, using ferryboat Symi. However the Greek government has recently tightened regulations regarding equipment on older ferries. Most Blue Star and Dodekanisos Seaways ferries are too young to be affected (the fittings had already become standard by the time they were built), the others are being upgraded as part of their normal winter overhauls.
Ferryboat Symi however may simply become (again) a day excursion boat and not sell single or period return tickets as the owners seem reluctant to incur the expense.
But nothing is certain or will be for weeks and weeks.....
