First Time Visitor

Postby MartinR6 » 04 Oct 2016, 09:49

Hi Everyone...
I'm visiting Symi for the first time this weekend for 1 week.
We're staying at Hotel Nireus with a sea view.

Can anyone advise any must do's or don't miss....

Thanks

Hi MartinR6,

I'm heading to Symi tomorrow for the first time also. I therefore can't offer any first hand advise but what I can say is that you'll find loads of good stuff if you have a troll through this forum. There is a special section for 'trip reports' in the archive section of the main index page. These trip reports are full of information about where people have eaten, visited etc

Hope that helps......

Good advice Adam, I'd also suggest a look on Trip Advisor for restaurants on Symi.
Martin, great choice of hotel, we've stayed at Nireus many times, last time 2015, next time Sept 2017.
It might be worth an email to them to see if they still provide beach towels, save on weight allowance!

Good advice both Adam and Petrostoo.
I've checked and Nireus do still provide beach towels.
Thanks...

You will find our blogs from many previous visits highlighting the many superb restaurants that Symi offers but in our opinion one of the stand out do not miss things to do is the Round the Island trip on Poseidon. We are sitting on our balcony just having returned from today's trip and at €35 per person with a standout BBQ lunch it is in our opinion the best €35 Euro you will ever spend.
