Syllogos still open?

Postby bill » 05 Jul 2016, 16:22

Hello,

just wondered if Lefteris was still at Syllogos or whether it had been taken over?

Thank you.

Hi Bill,
Was open in May and Lefeteris was there as large as life and when we bade him farewell until September he said nothing about not being there.
His chicken with prunes was still sublime.
Perhaps Forum Members who are there now will reassure us both.
Has always been one of our favourite places to eat.

Thank you D and E. Just checking because we haven't visited Symi for a few years and lots of things seemed to have changed or opened. Glad Lefteris is still at the helm! Nobody seems to mention eating at Syllogos, even though it's our in Chorio.

That's good news and cant wait.

Best wishes and thank you again.

Syllogos is certainly open at present though it never looks terribly busy - there is a very friendly chap who I guess is Lefteris who stands at the door chatting to passers by - I have just not seen anyone go in!

I was there last Saturday night and it was busy - there is now live music on and Lefteris was demonstrating his Greek dance steps :D

As it is a fairly quiet season the restaurants and tavernas tend to take it in turns being busy as there aren't enough people for everywhere to be full every night and most people like to eat somewhere different each night, at least until they have established their own personal favourite.
