After the disastrous outcome of the EURef (sorry to any Outers - its not political just our personal view) and the resultant fall out - check out that Euro Rate we have cheered ourselves up and booked our flights to Rhodes.
Our plans to come via Athens have had to be put on hold for another year as we were determined to have two weeks on Symi and overlap with our Swedish friends who we first met many years ago in Margaritas apartments round at Nos. We think we would really need a three week break to come via Athens and still have time to get round all those wonderful restaurants on Symi and that has not been possible due to E's work commitments (D now being semi-retired )
So in 89 days, according to their wonderful App through which you can book, pay, reserve seats, check-in, download boarding passes to the phone - just scan the phone at bag drop and again at security and that's it - no paper involved at all - it will EasyJet from Gatwick on Sept 28th.
Have decided on the same 05:30 flight that we went out on in May so we should have no problem with ferries which we will check and book closer to the time.
Margarita has confirmed back that all is fine on the accommodation front - in fact we are going to be in a different room from our usual Room 2 so that is quite exciting.
The return flight is at 12:15 on 12th October so we should be OK with the morning Paros ferry but Margarita is an avid watcher of marine traffic and keeps us right and if we have to leave the day before a night in the Best Western Plaza is always a pleasure.
So now to plan the Mid Wales to Gatwick trip : one way hire car can be more economic than airport parking but also our TwoTogether Railcard is a possibility. Our favourite Sofitel stop over is a must.
So its 89 and counting
