Looks like it's stuck Sue. Hopefully Adriana will give it a boot when she's next in the office.

Can it be pointed a little higher? I'm guessing it has some sort of automatic aperture function, which may be why the sky is currently over exposed. Lifting it a bit may turn the sky blue.

That would mean you'd get more of the sky and less of the foreground which is what most people want to see.

Kojak's right. The current position shows more of the pavement which is what people like to see and it's great for the 'Webcam Wave' and anyway, nothing much happens in the sky! ;)

I do understand what you're saying from a photographer's point of view though Jon. The crude auto-exposure tries its best but it's not very good and the sky is awfully over-exposed during the morning at this time of year when the sun is low and the foreground pavement's quite dark.

The good news is that things should get better as the season progresses and the lighting conditions improve.

This is a random shot from last summer with lovely blue sky to make the point.....

You need the Symi Visitor website itself to see the webcam, it isn't part of the forum at all.
http://www.symivisitor.com/webcam.shtml
normally finds it and worked fine earlier today, but it seems to have a server problem right now.
