Being mildly addicted to timelapse videos I attempted to get some shots of the "Supermoon" rising over Pedi last September.
Actually, I was a couple of days late so the moon isn't quite full but it was dramatic.
The pictures (all 1,056 of them!) were badly over-exposed because I had to guess the exposure before leaving the camera to do its stuff while I went to a party (priorities! ) so it took a fair bit of fiddling to get the finished video to look something like the real thing and the halo around the moon is down to my bad photography, not some sort of weird astronomical phenomenon.
The brightness of the sky is real though and all the light is from the moon.
The video is best viewed full-screen in HD if possible.
