This month's SV arrived yesterday and I was devastated to read of the untimely death of Steve Clark, chef/owner of Daphne's Restaurant.

His cooking, both at Mylopetra and Daphne's was wonderful. He was such a talented person. It's a dreadful dreadful shame.

I will indeed pass on your condolences to Mike. He is soldiering on stoically and doing an excellent job in the circumstances but it is going to be a difficult winter for him.

How very sad, he was so young. I remember him from years ago, used to deliver laundry on his bike.

I do not know Mike but my thoughts are with him and his many close friends.
