Weather forecast

As the rain pours down in central London I thought I'd look for the sun: the forecast for Symi as shown on the Poseidon website. My goodness, but we don't seem to have the monopoly on downpours - Thursday and particularly Friday look to be days when the Town Hall flood warnings may need to be taken seriously. Perhaps Adriana could point the webcam at the Lazy Steps so we can see the water whooshing down, and feel a little better about holidays being over for the year.

Just had an email from a friend who works for Manos in Skiathos and they've been having to evacuate tourists out of flooded houses.

At least here on Symi with it being so steep the water just carries on through!

The rain is holding off at the moment but according to all the long range forecasts I've seen we are going to get hammered sooner or later.

But at least stuff is growing!

What a contrast - blue sky and sun here today. Cold first thing but you can't have everything.
