I think everyone is on Rhodes, doing their Christmas shopping! :)

Haven't they heard of Amazon.com, like the rest of us?

Unlikely as very few Symiot homes are 'on line'...

Christmas shopping in Rhodes can be quite fun - if you have comfy shoes as there's quite a lot of walking involved. The hyper-chain-mall syndrome hasn't caught on here yet so there are lots of small shops, all with different stock and chatty owners. Not to mention the possibility of fish for lunch at the Symi taverna in Mandraki or gyros while rambling through the pleasantly deserted lanes of the old town..

Oh I do love winter...

Which is the Symi Taverna in Mandraki. Is it that one behind the taxi place through the gate and left? I am always looking for decent places to eat in Rhodes, but in this one I think the quality goes up and down.

I've found it to be better in the winter, but then I seldom get over in the summer!

There are also some good places along the shoreline at Zephyros which is quite handy for the commercial harbour. Several traditional Greek and one traditional Turkish!
