I'm still here as well. I've just spent two days rewriting my web site and now I'm too scared to put it up in case it overwrites the old one and nothing works any longer (a bit like me).

There was something on the beeb last night that the Hungarians were being blamed - and most indignant they were too. :(

This is starting to look like Foot and Mouth all over again...

It does seem strange that everyone immediately bans poultry products from the UK when there's an outbreak but we cheerfully import dead and processed poultry from Hungary when there's an outbreak there.... :?: :?:

On the up side, if you like turkey burgers etc., my local supermarket had some great bargains - Bernard Matthews products were practically given away :o :o :o

Remember the pre-bird flu days when the turkeys down at Tolis used to chase the taverna cats... :D

Mr Matthews must be a bit worried. I see that he cancelled an appointment with the Queen last week, which can't happen very often. Was he supplying the lunch?
I am informed by Herself that there is no such thing as import or export from Hungary (EU rules). It can only be an acquisition from or despatch to. Today's useless bit of information.

I'm sorry we ever "acquired" the EU - I'd like to despatch it to a Bernard Matthews rendering plant. :D :D :D

Bernard ought to be invited to lunch with Dubya  After all he has given a native American species tremendous promotion :? BUT, although bird flu is currently avoiding us, only last week here in Alberta we had a confirmed case of MAD COW :( :( :( .
