So much can happen on Symi in a week!

Gosh I've just read what happened to the Triton...I was only on it last Monday taking a sedate trip around the island!

And....when I left on Wednesday the only floods were my tears!

So what do I find...the minute I leave all hell breaks loose, rain sand storms and high winds...what's going on :?: !!

There I was, taking a quiet stroll down from Horio to my favorite beach, Ag. Nikolaos. :) However, as I was passing the last taverna, I bethought that I should have a light lunch of "little fishes". :D . The nearest seats to the sea were all taken, so I sat further back. :) Having gobbled up the little fishes, the two people at the next table asked if I would like to join them for coffee :) Very kind of them :) We sat chatting, when suddenly the lady asked: "Are you MacDuff?" Turned out that she was Maiziemoo! :D Just goes to show that firstly some people do have third sight and secondly that you never know who knows :o

Hi there McDuff

Twas a lovely afternoon I spent in the company of yourself and the charming Donald :D . You both kept me admirably entertained with your amusing stories and lively discussion about rugby, politics and the like :) .

It's strange how sometimes we can gain a sense about things, but I'd sat there for about 10 minutes wondering if you were McDuff before I asked.

It's nice to be able to put a face to the names of those who regularly post things on the Noticeboard and so I'm really looking forward to my return visit in September, when I hope to be able to put names to a few more :( !

I trust you enjoued the rest of your stay.

KK what did they call that bloke that suffered from ouzo poisoning, was it the same one that marked his patch out with a natural deposit?

I can recall several sufferers from ouzo poisoning, I must confess to aiding and abetting in some cases

Ouzo seems to appear in other places on the Chat Page, could it be down to anticipation of a glass or 2 in the near future?.

It doesn't seem to taste quite the same in the UK, perhaps it's the lack of the wonderful Greek atmosphere not to mention the weather :)

But the thought of having to wait until September for my next one is unthinkable and so I put on my Greek music, sit on my patio in the brilliant sunshine, ouzo in hand, close my eyes and imagine I'm back on Symi....ahhhhhhhhh
