Snakes!

Just back from our ninth visit to Symi. Had our first sighting of a live snake - but not out in the wilds or in the ruins of the old town, the sorts of location that we might have expected to spot one - oh no, it was slithering up the slope right outside the Symi Visitor office! And what's more, once it had decided that it faced an uphill struggle ( one slither forward, two slithers back), it turned around and headed downhill again . . . but then, to our relief, scaled a wall and disappeared. Still wondering if it might have disturbed diners at Dimitri's!

The arches under the zigzags are comfy reptile terrain.

Can you remember what colour it was and if it had any distinctive markings?

Didn't hang around for too long but as far as I remember, it had a black diamond pattern on yellow.
