Symi at odd times

I have just received an email from easy jet who are doing flights to Athens in November for 7.99, the return being about 35.00. Then Aegean are doing round trips to Rhodes from Athens for 20 euros so you could do a return trip for under 100 plus those dreaded taxes! Unfortunately I won't be able to do it this year as I am going to be a Dad again in September, even I wouldn't try that one.

Symi at odd times

Hi Adriana

I had all the good intentions. I dug over my veggie patch over the Easter weekend ready to get some compost in, only to wake up after the weekend with'tennis elbow'! I have numerous visits to the physio and it now looks like I will have to have a cortisone injection, which I have to say I am puttong off till the it is the very last resort.

David

To try and ease the tendonitis without cortisone injections try some bromelain tablets. You get them from Holland and Barretts - you need the 600 GDU ones. Take 2 tablets 3 times a day on an empty stomach (this is not what it says on the bottle by the way). They are a natural antiinflammatory and worked wonders for my Achilles tendon.

Got to be worth a try when you consider the alternatives ...

Thanks Sapphy I am trying Glucosamine at the moment but they apparently take a couple of months to start working, The problem is I really can't play tennis now and I do need some exercise, except for the sort that Kojak gets with his right arm!

So much for the theory that home grown organic vegetables are good for your health!

Sorry to hear about the elbow, David, but it sounds as though weather wise you'd only have been able to grow watercress anyway ;)

They tell me that dried turkey manure along with dried ginger is very good for organic veggies
