I was sent this image of a painting done by Scott Walker, a regular Symi visitor this afternoon. I thought I would share it with you!

Yes, Babs, it's a good likeness, isn't it? How did he get Mike to sit still for long enough?

Another example of Mr Engels' wonderful artistic versitality. :D I recently saw a brilliant film about him at the Cornerhouse in Manchester, a shorter version of which was on TV a while ago.I knew that he had visited Symi in the late nineties but didn't realise he was still visiting.Just shows he has great taste as well as musical integrity and talent. I listen to his music in the car and at home - to the despair of certain friends ( mind you they prefer Scott to my other artist of choice, Mr L Cohen)can't see the problem myself. So then, SV, have a word with the mayor about an appearance at the Symi festival next year.

Collette, it doesn't matter if you got the wrong guy, it was nice to have you make a posting. Must admit my train of thought drifted to your version though ;) ;) !

Willie,

number 3 after Scott and Leonard of course. Absolutley love it by the way, people round here in darkest Lancashire think I'm losing the plot( no comment needed thanks). I was up in the Highlands 2 weekends ago and was praising you to the hilt, you need to spread your wings and get up there.Jealous that you are going back to Symi ,I'll have pray for the lotto win as I've been twice this year already. Is it just you and Heather this time or are you taking the whole tribe again? Cathy went into hospital the day after we got back and had the op on her wrist on the friday, 15th June. She had the pins taken out yesterday, still in plaster but coping well.
Lovely to hear from you

OK Colette I think I can live with being number 3 to those 2, glad to hear Cathy is recovering I hope she gets the plaster off soon.
In September it will just be Heather and I for a chill out week, :( :geek: :!: it's to hectic with all the gang along. Hope you enjoy your trip to Zante and you never know you might get a third trip to Symi as well just keep putting the numbers on.
