Macduff, if it was a friendly shaggy black dog it was probably Herakles from Tolis boat yard.

Someone told me the last time I was down there, at the boat launching on 23 April, that he had come to an unfortunate end, hit by a car on the Pedi road. :cry:

Pythagorion is still known as the Frying Pan and must have more bars and tavernas per square inch than anywhere else in the world. The Old Chap is still there with his right angle on the harbour wall. Keep waiting for him to fall in the water and prove something else.

Yes Adriana! Thanks, his company on a walk is remembered with pleasure. How sad to hear that he too has gone. RIP Herakles, you were a true Symi character.
