People may recall that, when I was on Symi in May, I reported a disaster with Yanni's vine: [img]http://planetsmilies.net/shocked-smiley-9449.gif[/img] the leaves had all died off and to shelter his customers from the sun (and thus to stop most of them decamping to Bulmas' next door[img]http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/scared/scared0018.gif[/img]) he had been compelled to put up sun umbrellas.

Yanni told me at the time that expert advice was that there was a fair chance that, rather than dying off completely, the vine would soon re-grow its leaves.

Can somebody who's been to Symi recently tell me whether this has actually happened? [img]http://planetsmilies.net/confused-smiley-17501.gif[/img]

Sounds as though it should recover. SymiDream page has regular updates on its progress. Yiannis has inserted a bamboo mat for shade at the moment
