I'm not a resident Scot but my roots are Glaswegian....does that count? Glad to hear you're surviving up there Here in the south we've had a small sprinkling of snow but the icy blasts are here to make sure we keep on shivvering...brrrrrrrrr.

Meant to ask how your holiday plans are fairing? I keep sane by trawling through my Symi snaps!

:o Well thanks for asking oh fellow celt. Not sure at the moment. It is the longed for Kastellarizo visit that is getting in the way. If i leave it all to 2012 Aberdeen will have its extended runway and things might be simpler!!! As to weather here - it all looks very picturesque until you try to get bread or milk - shop shelves emptying quickly - good job i stocked up on the water of life a couple of weeks ago!!!!! :o

Heather is working today and wont finish till after 9 tonight so our celebrations will need to wait till after I pick her up from work. But then we shall toast our patron saint in Whisky, Glayva in Heather's case she hates Scotch, then as he is also patron saint of Greece and Russia we will have a toasts of Ouzo and Vodka then we fall gently to the floor and sleep it off.

Takes more than a few drinks to put me down, I was up at 7.00 and out at 7.30 brushing 6 inches of snow off the car with a smile on my face, or maybe it was a fixed grin? then an enjoyable 1 hour 15 minute crawl to work, usualy takes 20 minutes, before the first coffee of the day brought me back to my normal grumpy old man mode.

Hey Snoops, where is the referred to Extended runway going to end? New Machar or even at the feet of the Auld Mannie outside the hotel at Old Meldrum :?: Is the 780 going to provide direct flights from Dyce to Symi :?:

If they extend the runway at Dyce in the right direction you would only need to get a taxi from Woodside ! but a taxi from Dyce to Stonie would cost as much as a trip to Symi wouldn't it Snoopy ? :D

As I understand things, getting a taxi from Dyce to anywhere would be somewhat difficult at the moment. A helicopter :?:
