Yep folks I was having a go at Olympic re flights etc (and that I dont take back) we have now been told we arrive Rhodes at 1.15am and that does not allow an overnight stay so just leave luggage till morning ferry (we going early so not waiting for the Olympic crossing) At least this year they are dropping us of near harbour so we can walk ourself instead of last year when they forgot to pick us up

Eleanor, if they drop you and your luggage at the International you can find a comfy seat at the Swedish Coffee Bar. Turn right out of the hotel and walk a short way to the end of the road, turn right again and cross over the road, you'll find it on your left hand side. Great coffee and IKEA sofas! The International now has a room for luggage which is kept locked although I've never heard of anyone having their suitcase pinched there!

Travelled from Newcastle Saturday afternoon, too late for ferry, took us to Falaraki for the night then back to Rhodes on Sunday morning, first on Proteus but it then filled up with people going for the Independance day parade.
The parade took place about two hours late but it was lovely to see all the National costumes and the old army brigades marching past.
No water ferries operating up till Sat 21 May when we left, but they were threatening to start today, Monday.
Only Katsaras open for food, Tolis' beach is a boat yard at present nor was tavern open.
Tavern at St Nicks not open but beach usable.
Nos was open, Dimitri was heaving his beach back into place every couple of days, sun beds 3 euros, pedi beds 3.5 euros. You can still get an ouzo for 2 euros at the basic taverna's
Food wise we tended to order lots of starters and then have a taste of everything.
Justine was a star.
Maria at the Opera house was a fund of information about the early day on Symi, before she went to australia aged 15.1/2
Great hol back in September
