:) You misunderstand me dear Kojak - i am merely highlighting that until other Greek gems have been sampled then there is no benchmark for placing symi as the high carot diamond! ;)

It wasn't just the bench that was marked by Zakynthos - I came back in a wheelchair! :o

Sadly no. An unguarded storm drain; the edge of the road crumbling away; me; - recipe for disaster. I cannot recommend Zakynthos hospital...

Success, Mythos now available in our local Tesco, now all we need is for the sun to shine for an hour or two.
Kojak, did Olwyn tell you I had bought you a new plug for the sink in your usual room, as we had that one in May. How an island that has to import water can be so un-fussed about wasting it is beyond me.

Yes, Olga, she did - thanks so much lol! I hope it's still there! I can't think why anyone would want to take a plug... unless they're going to another Greek island where there aren't any of course. I have a universal one that more or less fits.

8-) Today = all day - the sun shone and the temperature hit over the mid 20s - ah joy and so pleasant to have a cold mythos to wash the dust of the allotment aff ma thrapple. Will have to get more from Tesco as a warm sunny spell predicted and i have a greenhouse to build - thirsty work. 8-)

:( AAAARRRRGGGGHH Allan - thanks for telling me. I will high me onwards over the Slug road to Banchory tomorrow and do some stocking up. Don't really get the Bank Holiday here in haggis land so nae bother getting some golden nectar. Freezing and blowing a gale here in n/e/ Scotland so a drop or two of mythos might brighten the day! :)

Mmm, large Mythos was 2.50 euro at each taverna I attended in Skopolos last week (and there were a few)and obviously cheaper in the supermarket. However, it was accompanied by the sun and views of the turquoise sea so it was worth it.And just to join in the countdown I do believe it's now 3 weeks and 2 days until our merry band will be back in Symi :D :D :D

:( Well Kojak - let us hope those words do not come back to bite you on the bum!! Have you packed your trunks in case there isn't a ferry? Seriously though Kojak - raise a glass to me while you are there and i hope your journey goes smoothly. In the words of a well known film character:-
;) I'll be back!!!! :D
 Oh and i hope the ferry business doesn't dry up the mythos!!!!!!!!
