Liverpool Airport Parking

I prebooked Long Term parking at Liverpool Airport for my long weekend in Belgium. Price 29.99 booked through Easyjet while buying my flight.

1) Only later did I notice that the "automatic booking" had in fact booked my car in a full hour before check-in time. A nice little scam which must net both parties a tidy sum.

2) On my return I inserted the ticket at the barrier, the barrier did not lift up, instead I got a message saying "65 owing". I pressed the intercom button and was reassured that "You'll only pay 29 quid"..... I will be checking of course!

They have only taken 29.99 from my bank account but I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't challenged it?

29.99 is not 29 pounds, it is 30 pounds less one penny

It's funny how they all take that penny off - as if we couldn't suss it out. Useful if you are selling/buying a house and trying to keep under the Stamp duty level lol.

Well here is a cautionary tale. I put in a bid on a cottage near the one i live in now and the owner said he was after 250,000. anything over that and it went into a higher band for selling. I hasten to add i did not offer that but the person who did get it paid 249,999,99p (think that is right. Anyway 1p less than 250000. So there you are a 1p can save you!!!
