On 6th July 2005, I was in Jean and Tonic just after the announcement had been made that London had won the Olympics. You can imagine how excited Jean was. The next day, I hired a car to go to Panormitis and when I returned it, was told by the car hire man about the bombings in London. The atmosphere in Jean and Tonic that night could not have been more different from the night before. The Olympics are now drawing to a close but what a wonderful experience they have been - I think the whole country has been feeling the same as we did in Jean's that 6th July.

I'm not really a sport watcher but I was delighted at Tom Daly's Bronze medal. The lad's had so much to deal with at 18yrs. Well done!
