It looks as if it's still warm enough to sit outside and gaze at the harbour. Turning cold here...

Outside, yesterday morning Thursday, the wind felt like it was coming from the Artic. It was BL**dy freezing.

Well up in flaming Newcastle, it will be !
l lived in Low Fell, Gateshead for a year (in my heady, dreamy days of being 20!) And l never ever got used to the driving, biting winds. l played Lacross and Badminton.. up Gosforth way. Thank god, one of them was indoors! (Caught the bus after work each night at 'Amen Corner' in Newcastle, which always brought a smile to my face!)

For the first few days we were on Symi the wind blowing around the Irini was fairly chilly, but of course as soon as you walked down into the harbour the temperature rose by about 5 degrees or so. The rest of the time it was glorious, so a shock to the system to arrive back to ten degrees and rain in Newcastle last night.
