Come on folks, lets get some life into this page. T'other page is all about "Where is it"...lets go a little bit better.
If the Moderator lets us, lets have a long lost rammie, or something to brighten this page up
Its becoming very dreary, you can talk about boat prices, sunbeds, tavernas etc etc for so long....plus they have been done over a million times before.
Lets see what we can do... :?:

I think that the cabinet needs to be re-posted.

And a discussion on how the ministers are performing. How are the goats of Symi this season? - the blinkin' cats, think of the Goats!!!

Dave - Under Minister for Booze (under Benedetti) with Special Interest in Taverna Standards
Gail - Chief Inspector of Sunbeds and Controller of Oilslicks
Neil - Keeper of the Cabinet Cocktail Cabinet and Ambassador to Halki
Sunshine - Treasurer
Oor Willie - Minister for Sport
Will - Junior Minister in Department for Animal Welfare (High-Horse) with occasional secondment as Tourism Prevention Officer
Mrs Mc.S - Minister for cats
Miss April and Kon - Culture

That's how it stood at the end of May. Any alterations/additions?

In my haste to get the list together before departing on the fact-finding visit I forgot that Oor Willie is of the Scots persuasion so I now think it would be more accurate to give him the post of Minister for Sport (except football).

Seems fair to me :)

I think that Oor Willie should absolve all responsibility for cricket too. However, I bet he knows a thing or 2 about the Highland Games.

Hi SamanthaF, Just to confuse you I actually quite like cricket and all I know about Highland Games is how to find the beer tent :D

Oops, sorry Willie for the racial stereotyping. Suggesting that Scots are rubbish at football was unforgivable.

You won't catch me suggesting that your tight fistedness over buying me a drink was anything to do with your nationality either. :D :D

Your forgiven Allan,I was hoping to have some credit at Pat's to buy drinks for friends visiting Symi over the next few months and you could have been one of them, if you were visiting later this year, but I drew Switzerland in Pat's sweep so no cash behind the bar. :(

Meanwhile on the topic of football my commiserations to OG and Little Aussie MIke they were robbed by the Italian world cup divng team

Thanks, Oor Willie, I have a lot of Italian friends and have received emails apologising for their countrymens appalling behaviour.
We don't mind losing fair 'n' square....but this is a bit hard to swallow.
Now, pass me that pint of Ouzo!!
I understand Pat is now flying first class after your visit, Willie. I hope there were no IOU's left in Pats money box, you and Alan there at the same time is a bit of a worry...especially if you are still there until the wee small hours.

No money for me behind the bar at Pat' either. My kind husband drew out Holland for me! He drew out England for himself so we are still in with a chance of being able to buy Sunshine a drink in September!!

You know what those kilt wearers are like.
Paste a mirror on your shoe and tell us what he wears under the kilt!!

I doubt it Glen but Mrs McS will no doubt have something to say on the matter.

I notice, though, that my cat seems to have stopped blinking recently. :D

I miss a couple of days on the chat page and when I come back I find more suspect comments about me and Scots in general i.e. meaness alcoholism and kilt wearing :o so here comes the ripostes.

OG I have never worn a kilt,I don't have the figure for it,but if I did as S and A say it is all in perfect working order :D ;also Geoff I don't know who has been telling tales but we were only in Pat's till about 3 most nights I don't think thats to late when your on holiday :?: some of the boat people did get mad one night and told us to shut up and threatened to call the police but Ali got rid of them, and the occupants of the apartments above the bar did object another night even throwing a bucket of water out of the window and giving everyone in the bar a shower, and then Pat called the police, response time in a 4X4 from the cop shop to Pat's 45 minutes not bad :P

Sandra your money's safe if you do win as I won't be back to Symi till next June

Thats it from me for now except to say that It seems like months since we came home and it's only been 2 weeks, the next year is going to seem endless

EXCUSE ME ! Under-Minister for booze ? I do have ambitions, you know ! And "under Benedtti" ?
I'll have you know that:
a) My family are well known in Missionary positions :D
b) I'm such a tart and my social life so poor that I'll settle for anything as long as she doesn't spill my beer - but can someone distract The Little Guy ? ;)
p.s.tell her to pull my nightie down when she's done ! :)
