I think I've seen it on telly. I can't remember much about so it may not have been that crash hot.
Then again, I could have had a few bowls of electric soup! :(

Hi there me ol' mate. Well it might not be much, but we'll probably be too busy scanning the background for familiar places rather than follow the story anyway. That's when we find the time to sit and watch it.

Amazon have some wonderful reviews but they charge twice as much as you paid.
It's still not on DVD. Perhaps I'll have a go at transferring it.

We went to the UK 'premiere' at the Arts Cinema (I think) in Cambridge - still have the PR postcard which came with the ticket. We certainly weren't the only Symi regulars in the audience - every time someone came down a flight of steps and emerged onto a sandy beach the air was filled with the 'tsk'ing from those who knew that in reality the next sound should have been been 'glug glug glug' as the actor sank gently to the bottom of the harbour.

UK friends of ours were living in Symi while this was being filmed, so it must have been 1992. The highlight of the year for the male of the couple was breakfast with Helen Mirren at Pachos.

Helen Mirren! Wow, what a lady. I guess I should say "Dame Helen".
Did your friend say what she was like, Jan?
Are you the Stigose lady? 8-)
Its the last thing you would need here today, its wild and woolly, sheets of rain and strong winds. I should be at golf!

OG - our friend could barely speak :D He just gibbered gently.

And yes, I'm the mozzies' favourite, though they're not mine.

He did say it was only a VHS transfer and an American NTSC format one at that.

To my knowledge it has never been released on DVD.
You do see VHS copies come up on Ebay from time to time but they nearly always go for 20+ so you got a bargain there Trailer.

There is currently a DVD on sale on the American Ebay site that claims to be "brand new, sealed". This is undoubdtedly a pirate copy. (the fact that it is "region 0" is a bit of a giveaway for a start)
