Evening all. Just returned from Symi, still unpacking :( . The two weeks was blighted by a bit of rain, but not enough to spoil the holiday.

Well, me old sparring partner, welcome back. :geek:
Being alleged twins, I guess blood is thicker than Mythos, eh? :)
I'll really look forward to loads more friendly discussions and sharing of Symi memories. :geek:
I hope Dave sees your post and comes back on a regular basis.

Hi there Kojak. Really good to hear from you. Hope you're back for good, we've missed you. 8-)

And if I'd been on line yesterday, I'd have been here to say Hi then! How about some up to the minutes news of Symi then. That's what most of us are really interested in.

Thanks Trailer, and everyone. ;) It's good to be back. Gossip from Symi: - The Traffic police are in evidence, but so far I've only seen them in the Jean and Tonic Bar or riding around in the police car!

Laskarina's demise seems to prompt a different answer from everyone, but the most likely option seems to be that George Kaladoukis and Frances may do something between them. That may help Symi, but I don't know what will happen to Halki and Tilos, it could be devastating for them.

Everyone is wrapped up with election fever. I've never heard my pal Michaelis Meltemi discuss politics before but he took a week off work to canvas for the current Mayor's party!

Lakis the dog is still alive and wandering around, he must be a good age by now. Unfortunately he had a piece of ... er... doggy poo permanently attached to his tail.

Don't worry about Lakis. Chris ripped off the doggy poo while he wasn't looking.

...Forget the name but it's run by 2 girls who used to work at Cafe Eva by the taxi boats. It's the last place on the left after Hotel Aliki but before the boatyard - blink and you'll miss it. It's got a mixture of old style chairs under 2 small trees - but the what we liked most was the step down to a small jetty with a stone plinth to sit on with cushions...you can put your feet in the water whilst having a drink, enjoy the view out towards Tholos and hardly hear any traffic noise on the road behind you...mind you watch out when the ferries come in! ...Just remembered, it's Francesca Magno and Chiara Zanini...it's a real haven of peace!...

Thanks

I think I know the girls you mean :| and I remember a small place being renovated where you describe so I guess that's the one.

It sounds wonderful - I'll try it out next year.

I apologise for having to delete and edit so many posts in this thread but the argument wasn't going anywhere and didn't belong here.
